Epic! The Royal Regiment of Scotland Leading the 11am Parade at Linlithgow Marches 2025

It was an historic day in the Ancient and Royal Burgh of Linlithgow. First, Provost Derek Green, in his first year was privileged to see in the 50th Anniversary of the Deacons Court. Also the Royal Regiment of Scotland lead the 11am Marches procession through Linlithgow. They were once again exercising their right to march through the town to help mark the 50th anniversary. The Freedom of Linlithgow and West Lothian was granted to the Royal Regiment of Scotland back in 2011. The Riding of the Marches of the Ancient and Royal Burgh of Linlithgow is a tradition dating back to the 16th century. The Court of the Deacons of the Ancient and Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, known as the Deacons Court, continue to organise the Riding on the first Tuesday after the second Thursday in June every year.
