Polyurethane Concrete Raising VS Mudjacking
This video compares polyurethane concrete raising to mudjacking in terms of Erosion Resistance, Strength, Injection Hole Size, Environmental Concerns, and Cost. Polyurethane and mudjacking both raise concrete, however, that is where their similarities end! As a concrete raising company, we encounter a lot of people who have been subjected to inaccurate claims regarding concrete raising. The two most prevalent methods of raising concrete include polyurethane injections and mudjacking. We've heard false claims coming from both sides. Some mudjackers claim "Poly doesn't work", or "Poly is too expensive", while some polyurethane providers are claiming a "cure-all" that comes with a lifetime guarantee! Our aim is to provide clarity to some of these issues which have done nothing but harm consumers. The creation of this video started when we were called to raise a stoop a local mudjacker tried to raise but failed. On the day we showed up to make the repair, we collected a sample of the mudjacking material that remained. We took the sample to our shop and tested its water-resistance against that of polyurethane. The results were astonishing - the polyurethane was completely unaffected by water, while the mudjacking material easily washed away almost immediately. This experience, combined with all the false claims being made, inspired us to continue revealing the differences between poly and mud. Something many of our customers did not know is that polyurethane concrete raising is REQUIRED on some Department of Transportation highway repair projects. These projects will not allow mudjacking as a repair option. This is the result of engineers specifying polyurethane with its durability and high compressive strength over mudjacking. Unfortunately, some mudjackers unable to upgrade to Polyurethane Concrete Raising resort to deceptive marketing techniques in order to compete with poly. Sometimes scare tactics relating to health, safety, or environmental concerns are used. You can learn more here: • Polyurethane Concrete Raising: Health Safe... The good news is that we see more and more mudjacking companies upgrading their service offering by adding Polyurethane! Others are also utilizing polyurethane foams for repairing cracks in poured concrete foundation walls. https://texasconcreteraising.com/geot... https://www.a1concrete.com/foam-injec... =================================== Click below to SUBSCRIBE to our Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/AcmeConc... ================================== Visit our WEBSITE: Acme Concrete Raising & Repair Inc. https://www.AcmeConcreteInc.com ================================== Visit us on Facebook: / acmeconcreteinc ================================== Visit Us in Person: Acme Concrete Raising & Repair Inc. 824 S Main Street Ste. 105 Crystal Lake, IL 60014
