Thank you so much for being amazing ❤️ The New Hall Inn, located on Lowside in Bowness and dating back to around 1650, is a historic pub that gained its license in 1866 and was known as the "Hole in t'Wall" by 1890, possibly due to a literal hole used to pass drinks to nearby blacksmiths and ostlers. Once home to Thomas Longmire, a renowned wrestler and landlord from 1852 to 1862, the inn grew into one of Bowness’s largest pubs after being acquired by John Booth in 1880, with significant changes made to the building. By 1907, it was the oldest licensed house in Bowness, attracting working-class patrons like boatmen, and by 1931, it was a lively spot for dominoes, darts, and mild beer. The pub, which earned its Grade II listing in 1973, was acquired by Robinsons Brewery in 1982, cementing its place as a cherished local landmark. https://holeintwall.co.uk/ The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction in Bowness-on-Windermere is a vibrant, family-friendly visitor centre that brings all 23 of Beatrix Potter’s enchanting tales to life, immersing guests in the sights, sounds, and smells of the Lake District countryside. Meet beloved characters like Peter Rabbit, Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, and Jemima Puddle-Duck, and step into Peter Rabbit’s Garden to see the cos lettuces nibbled by Benjamin Bunny and the gooseberry bush where Peter got caught escaping Mr. McGregor. Kids can enjoy free activity booklets, puzzles, and games, while adults explore Miss Potter’s history in a fascinating virtual world and interactive area. Savour a scrumptious high tea or a Peter Rabbit picnic basket at the themed café, featuring fresh soups and salads with ingredients from the attraction’s kitchen garden. With a famous gift shop and year-round events, this magical experience guarantees fun for all, whatever the weather! https://www.visitlakedistrict.com/thi... #BownessOnWindermere #BeatrixPotter #OldestPub #LakeDistrictVlog #UKTravelVlog #FirstVlog #MobileVlog #TravelCouple #BownessPub #WorldOfBeatrixPotter #LakeDistrictLife
