Eugenie Le Sommer, one of France’s greatest female soccer players, perhaps, only matched in recent years by the inimitable (now retired) Louisa Necib, in this clip from a She Believes tournament game in 2018 shows a little too much tenacity, booting the extremely brave and resilient Abby Dahlkemper so hard in her most sensitive region, it’s amazing she was able to carry on. Le Sommer, perhaps saw red, the card issued for the foul was yellow. In all honesty, she got off lightly - although it was clearly unintentional.
