After spending a night at the Twelvemile Beach Cabin in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, we continued our Upper Peninsula adventure on Grand Island. With our bikes loaded onto the ferry, we crossed Lake Superior and spent the next few days exploring forest roads, shoreline views, quiet trails, and an off grid rustic cabin tucked among the trees. Grand Island offers a completely different experience from Pictured Rocks—less crowded, slower paced, and perfect for exploring by bike.
