His parents want Mitch to show interest in his surroundings and reject the gaming. Mitch hides to be able to participate in the gaming rounds. His concerned parents go looking for him, and a cat-and-mouse game ensues in Paris. Because he constantly has to hide, Mitch befriends an elderly Parisian woman. Ultimately, this friendship proves more important than winning the final.
