Solo summer canoe trip in the BWCA Wilderness 2026, Fall Lake entry.

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) Wilderness is a brooding, eternal land of elemental rock and water that beckons canoeists from around the world with the promise of wilderness and solitude. A place that holds the possibility of sighting a moose on a portage trail, the tug of a lake trout on a fishing line or the sound of wolves howling at midnight. Come with me as I leave civilization behind and lose myself for 10 days of paddling and portaging through this ancient land of majestic pines, crystal clear water and ancient rock. Lakes visited on this trip include but are limited to Basswood, Crooked, Argo, Iron and Beartrap.
