Gary Owen Teaches his Biracial Kids Not to Escalate Situations with Cops

Comedian Gary Owen opened up about teaching his biracial children how to deal with officers following many police brutality reports. As a former officer of the Navy, Owen explained he acknowledges his children are considered black, and has taught them not to allure a confrontation with authority. "If you do get caught in a situation, a cop is going to see you as black." He says, "Even if they're wrong and you know he's wrong, you just got to be polite, you can't give him any reason to escalate the situation." Watch the interview above.
