Trialing HAL - Cyberdyne's Hybrid Assistive Limb device

16th August 2024 - Trialing CYBERDYNE Inc. Hybrid Assistive Limb device, HAL. 👩🏼‍🦽‍➡️ What an amazing opportunity to try a device that lets you know what signals are still working between your brain and your legs! It was always my goal to find out what signals were still working and I was amazed at my ability to take steps with the HAL device. It was in no way a perfect walk but every movement you see is all me. The device will only move when it reads a signal and so being able to move at all was overwhelming. Before trying the device I had 2 opposing expectations of what was going to happen. The first being that I would magically be able to walk no problem and the second being that the device would not move at all. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I’m somewhere in the middle!
