Forks Nearly Ended the Build — Seized Bearings, Stripped Threads | BMW R45 Balcony Restoration PT12

The forks were next. Should've been straightforward — it wasn't. Inside, I found a bearings that had absolutely no intention of coming out. I tried every tool I had, and in the process managed to destroy the inner race completely. Once I finally got it out, I had to deal with damaged threads on top of that. In the end, I replaced everything that needed replacing and the forks are done. But it wasn't pretty. This is part of my ongoing BMW R45 motorcycle restoration — done entirely on a balcony, no garage, no lift, no excuses.
