Jet Guitars JT-350 | The new leader in the sub $500 Tele category?! In-depth Review & Demo
This is the Jet Guitars JT-350 SB R: an affordable take on the classic Fender Telecaster style of guitar, but equipped with a humbucker pickup and a modern-feeling neck! ----- Get the Jet JT-350 here: https://tidd.ly/40uFIDN JT-350 at Jet Guitars: https://jetguitars.com/guitars/350-se... ----- Jet Guitars have been under the radar for me for a long time. I’ve seen them around at shows and in a few stores, but the JT-350 is the first Jet I’ve been able to properly spend some time with, and my expectations were sky high. Why? Well, because – on paper, at least – Jet Guitars seem to have out of this world specs. The JT-350 can currently (time of writing: June 2025) be had for around $350/€350, pricing it well below something like a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster. However, just take a look at these specs. Under a beautiful sunburst finish (which is complemented by binding and a tortoiseshell scratch plate) we have a basswood body. Teles are normally solid slabs of wood, but the JT-350 has a big tummy cut on the back, plus a much deeper cutaway on the lower bout side than on a standard Fender/Squier model, giving us much improved upper fret access. The pickups are Jet’s own alnico models, and we get a Tele-style bridge single coil and a neck humbucker with a coil split option. The bridge is a Wilkinson chrome affair, in the modern style with six saddles. The neck is satin Canadian roasted maple, and is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The scale length is 25.5” (like a Fender Tele, then) and the fingerboard radius is 9.5”. The neck shape is Jet’s Modern C profile, not too thick and not too fat, and all this gives the JT-350 a pleasantly modern playing feel that should be comfy for any hand size. Finally, the guitar is topped off with a set of Jet-branded locking tuners. All this for $350 seems like great value for money… but how good is the JT-350 really? Can it match the trusted quality of a Squier Classic Vibe? Or does it feel more like a cheaper (albeit excellent value for money) Harley Benton? Could the JT-350 be the best Telecaster on the market for sub $500?! It’s time to find out! In the video, I put the JT-350 through its paces in as many different musical styles as I can, from country, folk and indie, to pop, rock, punk, metal, and more – let’s see how it handles it! Let me know your thoughts on the JT-350 in the comments. The amp went from the Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That's it. No post-processing on the sounds was done. --- Get all this gear at Thomann: https://thmn.to/thocf/jkhog8l06m At Sweetwater: https://sweetwater.sjv.io/LXqdE0 --- Backing music from the YouTube Audio Library: Duck In The Alley – TrackTribe. #JetGuitars #JetGuitar #Telecaster #JetJT350 #CheapGuitars #GuitarGear Note: certain links in the description are affiliate links.
