Turkey steps in to preserve Turkic culture in western Mongolia
The Turkic Tuva and Khoton minorities of western Mongolia are in danger of losing their language and way of life. The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has stepped in to help preserve their culture by providing boarding schools that teach in their language and by turning their wool-gathering into job opportunities.
