The digital restoration of Aparichita, a landmark Odia film, originally released in the early 1980s, was a deeply fulfilling journey, undertaken by Surya Deo. The film was a heartfelt family endeavour—produced by Prasanta Das and Arati Das, along with Mihir Kanungo. The story was adapted from the acclaimed novel Aparichita penned by the celebrated writer, Jnanpith Laureate Dr. Pratibha Ray, who also wrote the screenplay too.
