HOW TO USE THE TONGUE PROPERLY 1) The tongue can be used to bring life In Proverbs, it is said the tongue has both life and death. What you proclaim will come forth. 2) Focus on your inner transformation In Matthew 15:11, what is produced by your mouth defiles or builds you. What is in the heart is what is spoken, deal with your heart first, so as to grow spiritual. Focus on your spiritual transformation by dealing with your innermost being. -Ask God to change your heart for you to grow. 3) Discipline your tongue. ( Psalms 39:1) The people you spend time with will influence you. -In Joshua 1:8, the book of the law should not depart from your mouth. -Word of God in your mouth is powerful In Colossians 3:16, when you let the word of the Lord live in you richly, it will come out from you in many ways. In Psalms 19:14, may the words of your mouth and meditation of your heart be pleasing to God. Speaking in tongues grows you, what you speak about will come to pass.
