AP 15202ST 'Jumbo' Ultra thin Review - Why is this the hottest AP on the market?

In this video I discuss and review the Audemars Piguet Royal oak ‘Jumbo’ ultra thin 15202ST. The ultra thin is a stunning watch and is really a callback to the original Gerald Genta Designed Royal oak from 1972. The watch was originally called the Jumbo as when the Royal Oak was released in 1972, it was significantly larger in case size in comparison to similar steel sports watches that were available. At 39mm in diameter it was a little bit of a shock to the watch market as watches were much smaller then. Calling an ultra thin 39mm case Jumbo in todays watch world sounds funny just goes to show how trends change over time, especially in the watch world! The ultra thin is one of my favourite watches on the market and my definitely one of my favourite AP’s. It’s so wearable and just so comfortable. The other name for this piece is the ultra thin and that is for obvious reasons, the case is just 8.1mm thick! The 15202 used Ap/s 2121 movement as opposed to the 3120 movement used on the 15300 & 15400. I think the movement on this piece deserves recognition in and of itself. Take a look at the skeleton case back with 36 jewels, it looks breathtaking! Last year these were selling for about £40K or so. However back in January AP confirmed that the 15202 is coming to the end of its production line. It is not officially discontinued as of yet.., but it won’t be produced past the start of 2022. So you may still be able to get one but it's very difficult. Since the news of discontinuation this watch has shot up in price and dealers are asking in excess of £80K! This one in the video is for sale for £70,000. So let me know what you think about the 15202 in the comments below.
