"Inno dei Sommergibilisti" - Italian Navy Song - (+English Subtitles)

"L'Inno dei Sommergibilisti" is an Italian song dedicated to the Italian submariners, composed during the fascist regime to the music of Mario Ruccione, prolific composer, also author of "Faccetta Nera" and numerous other fascist songs. The text is by the playwright and journalist Guglielmo Giannini. In 1941, shortly after Italy entered the war (June 10, 1940), the National Opera of the after-work organized a national competition for patriotic music and songs: among them "The song of the submarines" ranked second.
