ASESINATO EN CAMBYRETÁ HABRÍA SIDO UN AJUSTE DE CUENTAS

A 27-year-old man, who had three outstanding arrest warrants for intentional homicide and aggravated robbery, was shot and killed on the night of Thursday, July 23, in the Tacuary neighborhood of the Cambyretá district. The victim was identified as Rolando Ramón Miño Rolón, alias “Sabi,” a resident of the Cristo Rey community in Alto Verá. He had a gunshot wound to the head and two others to his left arm. According to Chief Warrant Officer César Ortiz, the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. at a house in the aforementioned neighborhood. Police officers arrived at the scene after receiving a phone call and found the young man lying on a bed, covered in blood and already deceased. According to the testimony of Julio César Arriola Sosa, 38, a friend of the victim and resident of Buenos Aires, Argentina, a white Chevrolet pickup truck arrived at the house moments before. Three armed men, carrying both long and short firearms, got out of the vehicle. They were unmasked and dressed in dark clothing. According to the witness, one of the attackers subdued and intimidated him while the others entered one of the rooms of the house, where Miño Rolón was located, and fired several shots at him. After the attack, the perpetrators fled in an unknown direction. Arriola also stated that the house belongs to his sister, Ilda Ramona Arriola Sosa, and that they had both arrived there with the victim on July 19th, coming from San Pedro del Paraná. Later, the police verified in the computer system that the deceased had three outstanding arrest warrants: two for alleged intentional homicide, issued by judicial and prosecutorial authorities in San Pedro del Paraná, and one for alleged aggravated robbery, issued by the Criminal Court of Guarantees in María Auxiliadora. Agents from the Investigations and Criminalistics Departments worked at the scene, while the Public Prosecutor's Office and the forensic doctor carried out the necessary procedures. The National Police also issued a radio alert to locate the three alleged perpetrators of the homicide, whose identities have not yet been established.
