Karen Read SLAPP Motion Pounded: What Happened?

Karen Read Civil Case Update: Plymouth County Superior Court judge Marc Gilday denied two motions. Karen Read and Aidan Kearney a/k/a Turtle Boy sought dismissal of defamation claims against them, claiming that the Massachusetts 'Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation' or SLAPP law protected them. This episode probes the court's decision. Meanwhile when this episode dropped, Superior Court judge Marc Gildea had still not apologized for the public slamming of attorneys in the wrongful death case on July 1, 2026 when he incorrectly linked them to social media posts about Michael Proctor's mental health, scolded them, and walked off the bench, refusing any opportunity to be heard, despite requests by Read attorneys Damon Seligson and Alan Jackson.
