Episode 9 - TI99 4a - Pico9918 VGA adapter
In this episode, I install a Pico9918 VGA adapter with a nice breakout board. I had the F18a Mk1 VGA adapter, but accidentally broke the hold down clamp for the ribbon cable. They were back ordered, so I decided to try the Pico9918 as they were available and were on sale for Christmas. :-) I kept unplugging the ribbon cable from the TI99 by accident when I moved cables and such around. I should have secured it better in hindsight. All well. The F18a worked well, nothing against it, I still have one in my Adam computer. The choice to switch to the Pico9918 was strictly based on availability. Plus, the Pico9918 breakout board with VGA header and dual audio was an extra selling feature. I just checked the website for this, seems like a new PRO version has been released and some new headers, HDMI and SCART. There is also some configuration software that can be downloaded, either for modern PC or for vintage hardware. I'll have to try this in my next episode. :-) https://lectronz.com/stores/visrealm
