You should remove all the apple flowers of the newly purchased seedlings, give priority to the tree trunk to grow more and then bear fruit, however, you feel sorry and want to keep it, but the tree will only be able to bear a few fruits, at the same time the tree may be weak and slow to grow later, so you need to balance the fertilizer. With the shoots growing below the graft, you should remove them, these shoots are not Thai apple varieties, do not produce flowers but compete for nutrients and at the same time their competitiveness is very strong, if they grow, the branches above the graft will gradually shrink, which is not desirable. When the tree takes root in the new soil, you should fertilize the tree regularly (once a month) until the tree starts to bear fruit. I will not use pellet fertilizer anymore. At the same time, if the soil shrinks or you see signs of young roots reaching the surface of the pot, you should gradually add soil when the pot still has enough soil, just add a little at a time. When planting on the terrace, you should not put too much soil. The tree branches are long and weak, so you need to make a support to help the branches straighten more. Here, I use a 21mm plastic pipe to support the tree. The tree both flowers and grows continuously. The time from flowering to fruiting is quite long. When the tree has a lot of mealybugs, you should use medicine to treat it, it can be chemical or biological medicine. You should cut off some branches that are too infested or unnecessary to limit the amount of medicine sprayed. Spray evenly on the tree, prioritize spraying the underside of the leaves, spray also on the ground, mealybugs hiding in the soil is also quite common. After 2 days, the medicine has taken effect, you need to spray again a second time, only then will the disease be completely gone. Whether it is a chemical or biological drug, if you spray it and see no reduction or effectiveness, you need to review the drug. Sometimes the pharmacy is sure that the spray is effective, but who knows, you may have chosen a fake product, or the product may be about to expire or the storage conditions are not good. After spraying for the second time for a few days, you should fertilize the plant with NPK fertilizer to nourish it better. It has just recovered from the disease and needs to be nourished. When the plant has fruit the size of a chopstick, I also stopped using NPK fertilizer. Instead, I mixed composted cow manure with soil (half of each) and added it to the top of the soil in the pot. To avoid exhausting the plant, when the fruit is ripe, you should prune it to eat gradually. If you leave a certain amount of fruit at first, the plant will flower continuously and you will have fruit to eat continuously. If you leave too many fruits, after harvesting all the fruits, you need to prune them all, leaving only the large, healthy branches and also cutting off the outer part so that the tree can grow new shoots and continue to flower and fruit. When pruning the branches, you should fertilize with urea (other nitrogen-rich fertilizers are also fine), just this once, to help the leaves and canopy grow healthily, but periodically every month, you should still fertilize with NPK fertilizer and add a little more soil to the surface of the pot.
