The hugely popular Pokémon-designed manhole covers, known as "Poké-lids," will be installed in five new locations within Nagasaki Prefecture. Expanding to 5 more cities and towns! Nagasaki Prefecture has been collaborating with Pokémon for the past two years, with the aim of regional revitalization and other initiatives. Poké-lids, currently deployed in 10 cities and towns, are one such example, featuring Ampharos, the Nagasaki Future Support Pokémon, in a unique design that is the only one of its kind in the world. Tours of the Poké-lids across the prefecture have become popular. The five new Poké-lids, unveiled on the 28th, will be installed in Isahaya City, Tsushima City, Goto City, Saikai City, and Hasami Town. To use Ampharos as a "guidepost" to discover the charms of Nagasaki, Chihiro Hirose, Senior Director of the Player Relations Department at Pokémon's General Headquarters, said, "We hope that Ampharos's Poké-lids will serve as a guidepost, helping people to explore the charms of Nagasaki Prefecture, including its nature, culture, and history, while visiting the Poké-lids."
