80 Minutes From Tokyo for a $1,100 Paycheck
My take-home pay is $1,100. Three days into my new job, I work in a suburb outside Tokyo. For years, I believed a better future meant staying close to the city. Now, my commute takes me 80 minutes away from central Tokyo, surrounded by mountains, forests, and a much quieter pace of life. The salary hasn’t changed. But something else has. For the first time in a long time, I leave work with energy left for myself. In this video, I share my morning commute, my new workplace, and why I chose time over money. Many people dream of working in Tokyo. I used to be one of them. Now I’m discovering that life outside the city can offer something I never expected. Thank you for watching. #Japan #Tokyo #WorkInJapan #Salaryman #JapaneseWorkCulture #DayInTheLife #TokyoLife #JapanVlog #WorkLifeBalance #CareerChange
