For example, you want to add up the total sales for 2019 for the Southeast region. In this case, you will use the function only to add up the sales for 2019 that were for this specific region. So the idea is to satisfy only these two conditions (or more, if necessary). With the SUMIF function, you could only add up either the sales for 2019 or the sales for the Southeast region.
