I took my Grandchildren on their first camping trip - Here's what happened.

Some adventures take you across continents. This one took me to the bush with two of my favourite people in the world — my grandchildren — for their very first night in a tent. From hammering tent pegs (and the odd finger) to cooking sausages over an open fire, toasting marshmallows in the dark, searching for the Milky Way, and discovering the magic of Melville Caves — this trip had everything. Watching them step outside their comfort zone, make discoveries on their own, and come alive in nature was something I won't forget in a hurry. If you've been thinking about taking your grandchildren or children on their first camping trip — I hope this gives you the nudge you need. It doesn't have to be complicated. It just has to happen. 📍 Melville Caves, Victoria, Australia 🎒 First time camper tips sprinkled throughout 🏕️ Come along for the adventure ❤️ FOLLOW ME ON SOCIALS - ✅ Instagram -   / thewalkingtraveller   ✅ Substack - https://substack.com/@helenthewalking... ✅ Blog - thewalkingtraveller.com #longdistancewalk #hiking #womenwhohike camping with grandchildren, kids first camping trip, family camping Australia, Melville Caves Victoria, camping Victoria Australia, grandchildren camping, first tent camping trip, camping with kids, outdoor adventures with kids, nature kids Australia, bush camping Australia, family camping trip, grandparents and grandchildren, kids in nature, Melville Caves Dunolly, camping for beginners kids, Australian bush camping, grandkids outdoor adventure, hiking with kids Australia, family adventure Australia, camping tips kids, kids around campfire, outdoor kids activities, grandmother adventures, women over 50 outdoors, Walking Traveller, Helen Wallis, camping Victoria, Grampians region camping, kids discovering nature
