BMW F32 435i N55 Go Fast Bits DV+ install DIY
This is the full install of the amazing Go Fast Bits Diverter + upgrade! This product will replace the internals of your existing turbo diverter valve removing the rubber valve that will fail especially under higher turbo values, with a spring loaded copper piston. This is something you should seriously consider, especially if you have taken your factory turbo well past stock values with an ECU tune or jump box like the Active 8. This part will replace a common failure point, plus give added functionality of turbo pressure bleeding off (using the included spring) rather than it just venting it all just to start over again at the next boost. Lastly as always, be extremely careful working under your car. If you are using a jack, ALWAYS use jack stands. Better yet, use a full hydraulic auto lift, like the one I used at the Self Serve Garage in Tacoma WA. You can check your local area if not in the Pacific Northwest, for a similar similar service. The solenoid coil itself from the factory-fitted valve is great (the ECU opens it faster than any pneumatic valve so why replace it?), but the weak point however is the valve mechanism itself. So GFB’s DV+ solves this problem by replacing just the valve parts with an anodized billet aluminum housing fitted with a brass piston machined to exacting tolerances. The end result is sharper throttle response, lightning-fast valve actuation, and it will hold as much boost as you can throw at it. Read all about the DV+ story on the next page. Other manufacturers’ products involve replacing the entire system with a traditional pneumatic valve, requiring long vacuum hose runs, additional parts for tapping into the intake manifold vacuum, plus either a different solenoid valve to actuate the pneumatic valve or a ballast resistor to plug into the OE wiring loom. All these additional items result in a product that is slower, less responsive, more expensive and takes much longer to install. GFB’s DV+ solution on the other hand is more responsive, less expensive, easier to install, and doesn’t cause compressor surge/turbo flutter.
