I have been to multiple dig your own amethyst mines in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This was my second trip to the Blue Point itself and hope to return in future years. The pricing is very fair and you're encouraged to bring your own tools. It's an old-fashioned and exciting rockhounding spot to visit. In the video, I walk through tools and techniques I found most effective for digging your own amethyst. Lastly, thank you to the folks who gave me a break and took some swings with the sledge!
