Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate This modern residential golf estate outside Johannesburg has been designed to incorporate wide open spaces and indigenous wildlife to give residents and visitors a feeling of being in the countryside. The environs include 7km of wetlands, a variety of buck and bird-life and the spectacular Serengeti Golf Course. The golf course was designed by golfing great Jack Nicklaus and joins an elite group of only five Nicklaus signature courses in South Africa. Serengeti comprises an 18-hole course, named Masai Mara, which has a rugged grassland and dune scape look and feel. A second 18-hole championship par 3 course called Whistling Thorn is currently under construction and will be the only course of this type in South Africa when it opens in first quarter of 2019.
