How to Actually Detect AI Writing (a Shy Girl analysis)

Is it actually possible to detect AI in writing? Maybe… (with some caveats). I’ve never actually sat down and looked at the text of Shy Girl. And surprisingly, a 30 page excerpt is still up on Amazon for anyone to read. And as someone who loves language and is a big proponent of writing as a craft you develop (not pass off to a bunch of nuts and bolts), I needed to see for myself just how ChatGPT-ified the prose was.
