C-17 Salmon Fly | Big Dry Fly For the Biggest Hatch! | Fly Tying Tutorial
In this fly tying tutorial Cheech ties the C17 Salmon Fly! The Salmonfly hatch has to be my favorite hatch in the whole world, especially when the fish are keying on them and eating with reckless abandon. We wanted a fly that would still work after the fish start to get a little bit wise to most of the patterns on the river. This one has just enough realism to trick fish well into the hatch, and it's buoyant enough to float moderate sized droppers. Stay tuned for more patterns in this styling because you can tie all of the species of stones in this same format, just adjust size and color.
