The protesters say that despite years of honest and dedicated service for low honorariums, their problems remain unresolved. They strongly demanded an increase in honorarium, regularization, and the immediate fulfillment of other pending demands. Following the protest, the delegation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the District Collector and expressed hope that a positive decision would be taken on their demands soon. The protesters stated clearly that if concrete action is not taken soon, the agitation will be intensified. The district administration has assured to escalate the memorandum to the relevant level. However, the impact of this statewide strike is now clearly visible at many Anganwadi centers, where work is being affected. All eyes are now fixed on the state government's next steps.
