There are several reasons why an air conditioner might stop cooling, but in Daihatsu vehicles specifically, clogged tubes, liquid pipes (high-pressure pipes), or expansion valves are the most common causes. When this type of clogged air conditioner stops cooling, one solution is to replace the condenser (with receiver tank), high-pressure pipe, and expansion valve. While it's a good idea to replace these three parts to avoid redundant work, in my experience, replacing the high-pressure pipe and expansion valve is also sufficient. Another thing you should pay attention to in order to cool the cooler efficiently is the sponge attached around the condenser. This is an important part that prevents the wind from leaking out to the sides and allows as much air as possible to pass through the condenser to remove heat from the refrigerant. If the sponge is torn or missing, we recommend replacing it and cleaning the condenser with water.
