In fact, John actually introduced Olivia to the audience by saying she is his "dear, trusted, true old friend" before they performed the song. Olivia and John were also nature and animal lovers as well as environmental advocates. Olivia and John are, indeed, the epitome of "the flower" that shattered the stone.
