Merry Go Round (2022) - an LGBTQ+ Short Film

Written & Directed by Ella Fields ☆ June and Pepper meet and have a special connection, but a limited amount of time to spend together. "Merry Go Round" explores how love exists through distance, memory, and a non-linear perception of time. ☆ I am so over the moon excited to share June & Pepper's story! In the aftermath of moving across the country, I thought a lot about what distance means for a love story, how expectations of the future affect what it means to be present in it, and how memory can be used as a tool to meet somebody in a place devoid of time, separate from firsts and lasts. This film captures so much of the magic I experienced in my freshman year of college, and I feel as if I could write a novel about the wonderful people it led me to meet, the experiences we had, and the worlds of themes and symbols in which I learned so much more about through creating.
