How do you experience your relationship with the public and with yourself from the perspective of positive and negative criticism and comments? How much of your true nature is reflected in what you display on social media through your posts or performances? Giorgia Fumo shares the perspective of someone who produces content on social media with an ironic yet very real twist. She is an engineer, theatrical improviser, and stand-up comedian. Born in Rome in 1986, she grew up in Sardinia and studied in Pisa. She has two parallel lives: one as a digital strategist and one as a comedian. She began in 2010, creating mathematical models for digital marketing and studying theatrical improvisation, continuing as a consultant for brands like L'Oréal and BMW on the one hand, and as a coach and improviser on the other. As you might imagine, she sleeps very little. In 2019, she began performing stand-up comedy, and in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, she said, "You know, everything's going so wrong, maybe they'll even cast me on TV." Since then, she's appeared in three consecutive seasons of Stand-Up Comedy on Comedy Central. In 2021, she was the only Italian in the semifinals of the Funny Women Awards, an international competition for emerging comedians. In 2022, she reached the finals of Italia's Got Talent and performed at Zelig in Milan. Since 2022, she's been able to hang up on calls by saying, "My agent will take care of that."
