The Secrets of Maranda High
Maranda High School in Bondo, Siaya County, pulled a major surprise move when it toppled renowned academic giants to emerge the fourth best school nationally in the released KCSE exam results. Even more surprising was their sterling performance in Kiswahili, a subject and language that is not necessarily well articulated in the area. So just how did Maranda turn the tables on other academic giants to earn a place of pride in the national and regional platform? Sheila Sendeyo was in Maranda and filed the following report.
