How to Convert 4 Track Cassette Recordings to Logic

Curious how to covert old 4 track cassettes to digital using Logic? Stumbling across some old 4 track cassettes, I decided to covert them to digital using Logic so I can use these ideas on new compositions. This video demonstrates not only how to do the conversion process but also best practices for connecting an old 4 track reorder to a modern audio interface. I cover the challenges of fixing tape hiss and removing noise, as well as a retrospective on 4 track recording back in the late 80s. I used a Yamaha MT1X 4 track with unbalanced RCA to 1/4 cables to capture to individual tracks 1 thru 4 as well as the L & R stereo mix. I used a MOTU 8 Pre feeding a UA Apollo Twin X via ADAT. #LogicPro #ConverttoDigital #Convert4TrackCassettes ⚙️ https://jeffagoddard.com ⚒️https://the13thmusic.com 🔗Facebook   / jeffagoddard   🔗Twitter   / nunstummy   🔗Instagram   / jeffagoddard   🔗 linkedin.com/in/jeff-goddard-051367 🔗 SoundCloud   / jeffagoddard     / user-966245491     / user-851701668-337719961   🔗 Spotify https://open.spotify.com/artist/6p4ug... 🔗Apple Music   / the-13th   00:00 Intro 00:30 Tour the 4 track cassette recorder 03:13 Logic setup 04:35 Recording 06:02 Plugins used to help 07:32 Observations 11:07 Its a 1 time effort to covert
