A rather simple group of pieces put together to make a tedious task almost enjoyable. There will be some finish sanding required after the router radius is made, but far less than sanding start-to-finish. I suggest you first make a “router caddy” to fit YOUR router base, then proceed to making the radius trolley fixture. The base rails are simply straight cuts of MDF, or possibly some other stable material of similar dimensions. I wouldn’t used pine or other soft woods, as the will likely change dimensionally throughout the year(s). I used 3/4” MDF for the BASE and TOP rails. The TOP rail can be swapped out for a Fender style neck with a fingerboard already glued on. The overall target height dimension being 1” when finished. There will need to be a modification to the plan to accommodate clearance for the Fender style headstock, as the radius trolley I use in the video has a 4” wide “tunnel” that glides along the base rail. The Fender headstock being offset will interfere with trolley travel as drawn, but there is an “alternate” illustration shown in the PDF download. Thanks for watching, please give the video a big thumbs up, ring the bell, subscribe and leave some comments too! Be safe and take care!
