DIY How To Replace 5Y3 Tube Rectifier To A Solid State Rectifier
Parts are x2 1N4007, 10W/500 Ohms Resistor and Vacuum tube base. I used a 10W resistor to compensate the heat from the resistor. This resistor 500 Ohms 10 Watts is my Ballast Resistor to have a B+ 185v +/- intended to my Trio 9R-4J Receiver. You can use a resistor higher than 10watts and the resistance varies depending on your B+ needed. When replacing a solid state rectifier make sure to detach the 5 Volts supply from the main transformer. MY OTHER VIDEOS: • TUNER #woodyshobbies #install #diy #repair #vacuumtube
