If you grow a kopanka in the summer, you have to shade and water it every day, even twice. Very difficult. If people sell closed roots for 20-25 UAH per bush - it's worth it, because you have to walk near the seedlings. Moreover, not everyone can afford it! BLACK AGROFIBER I grow strawberries on hills, on black agrofiber. I will never give it up! It's very convenient: firstly, it's convenient to harvest. Secondly, it doesn't overgrow with weeds - after all, when it bears fruit, strawberries grow whiskers, and with them weeds. On agrofiber, rains are watered, or from a hose. We cut off the whiskers - less trouble! MY VARIETIES Last year I bought Ami and Elodie - I really liked them, especially Elodie has a forest berry taste! There is also Asia, Alba and Veselka (Ukrainian variety, gives a lot of berries, but if the bush is 2-3 years old - the berry is small, you need to feed it). UKRAINIAN VILLAGE - I RECOMMEND! I accidentally came across the YouTube channel "Ukrainian Village" - a young guy Yuriy from Zhytomyr region, grows strawberries with his parents. In 2022, I wrote to him in June, he sent a mustache without roots for 3 UAH (then our territory had just been liberated). I recommend this kid! He tells you without any tricks: how to process, which ones are sweeter, how much he sells for. More than 50,000 subscribers, he sells ready-made seedlings in the fall. OLIYNIKY Last year I bought Lodi and Ami in the Facebook group "Flower and Berry Estate of Mykola Oliynyk" (more than 15,000 subscribers, contact - Ruslana Oliynyk). They sell closed root in cups. Prices: 30 UAH (5-15 pcs), 25 UAH (20-95), 20 UAH (more than 100). The first river is still bearing fruit, the berries are large, beautiful, tasty! Not a single bush has disappeared (except for three - my fault, the beetle ate them). They offer ultra-early, early, medium, late varieties, as well as currants, blackberries, remontant raspberries. CHAMORA TORUSI This year I plan to buy the late variety Chamora Torusi - I read that it is sweet, large, with many berries per bush. If anyone grows it - write, I will be grateful! The real experience of viewers is invaluable information. By the way, Yuriy from "Ukrainian Village" praises the Pegasus variety. UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE I bought the remontant Malga again - I haven't tasted it yet, I picked the flowers for a beautiful bush. And in 2022 I ordered the remontant Albion from another seller - I waited a long time, they sent it late, the bushes came skinny. It didn't survive, despite the treatment.
