Upside Down Blessings (Luke 6:17-26)
Luke's version of the beatitudes are a bit more unsettling than the better known list in Matthew. And Luke has woes or curses paired with each blessings. Both woes and blessings are upside down and backwards to the ways of our world, which likely says something about the sort of world Jesus envisions.
