Bivacco Valerio Festa | Passo Gallinera

Escursione al bivacco Valerio Festa, situato a quota 2320 metri nei pressi del Passo Gallinera, nelle Alpi Retiche meridionali. Sono partito dal parcheggio del rifugio Alla Cascata, in comune di Vezza d'Oglio e seguendo il sentiero 621 sono arrivato prima al rifugio Sandro Occhi e poi al lago Aviolo. Dopo un tratto piano ho fatto visita all'osservatorio faunistico del Parco dell'Adamello e da qui ho intrapreso l'ultima parte di salita fino al Passo Gallinera, a quota 2350 metri e distante pochi metri dal bivacco. Bellissimo il panorama sulla val Gallinera e sul gruppo del Corno Baitone, la cui imponente parete nordovest si trova proprio di fronte alla struttura. Escursione di circa 900 metri di dislivello e 12 km. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hike to the Valerio Festa bivouac, situated at an altitude of 2320 metres near the Gallinera Pass, in the southern Rhaetian Alps. I set off from the car park of the hut Alla Cascata, in the municipality of Vezza d’Oglio, and, following trail 621, I first reached the Sandro Occhi hut and then Lake Aviolo. After a flat stretch, I visited the Adamello Park wildlife observatory and from there set off on the final ascent to the Gallinera Pass, at an altitude of 2350 metres and just a few metres from the bivouac. The view over the Gallinera Valley and the Corno Baitone massif was stunning, with its imposing north-west face lying directly opposite the bivouac.
