In a loud voice, Ririn asserted that she was not the main perpetrator in the brutal murder that killed Budi Awaludin and his family. "I'm not the murderer," Ririn shouted as she tried to free herself from the officers who were leading her out of the courtroom. In that emotional moment, she even named several people she claimed knew about the bloody incident. Not only did Ririn deny the accusations, she also made a shocking confession. She claimed she was tortured during questioning by investigators, ultimately forcing her to confess to the murder. According to her, her now broken leg was not the result of an accident, but rather violence during the interrogation process. "Because she was told to confess, and the police were the ones who blamed her," Ririn said briefly to the media. This statement immediately sparked public attention. If true, it raises serious allegations of violence during the investigation into a case the police had previously claimed had been uncovered. Ririn's attorney, Toni RM, stated that his client's outburst was triggered by the Public Prosecutor's refusal to present another defendant, Priyo Bagus Setiawan, as a witness in the trial. According to Toni, Priyo was the one with direct knowledge of how the murder occurred. "Priyo was the one who knew about the murder, Priyo was the one who witnessed the murder," Toni said. The defense believes Priyo's testimony could reveal new facts in the trial, including the alleged involvement of the four other individuals named by Ririn. They believe that Ririn was not present at the scene of the tragedy and was instead forced to assume the role of the main perpetrator. On the other hand, the police remain firm in their investigation, which identified Ririn and Priyo as the perpetrators of the family's murder. The West Java Regional Police confirmed that the case file is complete and has now fully entered the trial process. "The mystery of this sadistic murder has been solved. The investigation process has been carried out, accepted by the prosecutor, and the trial is now underway. We will hand it over to the next stage of the CJS process," said Hendra Rochmawan, Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police.
