Eurovision 1962 - Finland
Marion Rung performing "Tipi-Tii" ("Chirpy-Chirp"), the Finnish entry at the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest. A silly but immensely catchy little song, this is arguably the most well-known among the first Finnish entries and a true classic of early 60s ESC. Marion would return to the contest in 1973 (again in Luxembourg, again performing first in the running order!) with "Tom Tom Tom", and this time she'd do a bit better than the 7th place she achieved with this one, reaching 6th place - which was Finland's best-ever showing at the contest before Lordi!
