Two teenage boys convicted of raping two girls in Hampshire have been sentenced to four years’ detention after the Court of Appeal ruled their original non-custodial sentences were unduly lenient. Judges said the severe psychological harm suffered by the victims and the repeated offending justified custody. The victims’ families welcomed the decision, saying justice has finally been served.
