What Really Happened on Hallow Road? (Deep Dive & Analysis)

HALLOW ROAD In this video I go in depth about my theories on the movie Hallow Road. A young girl, after a fight with her parents, ends up, stranded in the haunted forest on Ashford Road. Her parents know she is in big trouble because she has struck someone with her car. As her parents tried to make their way out to her they go back-and-forth about what she should do. The conversation is all over the place. The parents can’t agree on what they think she should do. Meanwhile, she is becoming more and more overwhelmed by the situation. That’s when an older woman shows up and changes things. She has a threatening demeanor, which scares everyone involved. It is debatable on whether or not Alice is still alive as well as the general consensus of what the movie is about. I feel, that the movie is a metaphor for the parent/child relationship. The dynamic of this family is tumultuous, to say the least. After finding out that Alice is pregnant the tension increases. The situation of Alice being in the woods and having done what she’s done increases it tenfold. It seems that Alice has never made to feel the consequences of her actions because her parents are always willing to intervene. I believe the movie is a metaphor for their constant intervention and control over their daughter, pushing her way in ultimately making them both feel like distant strangers. Like she’s been kidnapped. Rosemund pike play both the older woman on the phone and Alice’s mom. This seems like a deliberate choice by the director. Could it be fairies?
