Restoring a Honda Prelude in 2026 | Part 2

Dialing in the throttle cable, cleaning up the engine bay, and bringing this old Honda Prelude one step closer to where I want it. In this video, I work on my 5th gen Honda Prelude and sort out a few small but important details in the engine bay. I adjust the throttle cable to improve pedal feel and throttle response, clean up the engine bay, repaint various brackets and parts, and replace old hardware with fresh dress-up bolts to give everything a cleaner look. This is the kind of maintenance and restoration work that makes a big difference on an old JDM car. It’s not always huge modifications or expensive parts - sometimes it’s the small details that make the engine bay feel properly cared for. If you’re into Honda Preludes, H22 VTEC engines, 90s Hondas, JDM project cars, engine bay restoration, or DIY car maintenance, follow along as I continue bringing this Prelude back to life.
