RS3 8Y: ASW + Calibration Advanced Explanation by Josh @ LabordeFiles.co

AutoTuner now supports both ASW and Calibration flashing via the AT Tool and AT One on the Audi RS3 (8Y) 2.5 TFSI engine. But what does that mean? Josh Laborde, an AutoTuner user, calibrator, and custom function writer at LabordeFiles.co, gives an indepth overview of the advances this brings to the platform. At a high level, the calibration area of the binary is what a tuner modifies when tuning the engine as this area contains all of the maps and values that are used to produce the desired output of the engine. The ASW area of the binary is the software that runs the engine and references the various maps in the calibration area. Having access to modify the ASW gives advanced reverse engineers the ability to write their own code functions, such as map switching, flex fuel integration, rolling anti-lag, and more to bring new and exciting functionality to the platform. Just want to learn the basics? Josh has put together another video with just those details and you can find it here:    • RS3 8Y: ASW + Calibration Basic Explanatio...
