Dark Side History: Rudericus, & his Martyrdom (d. 857 AD) in context!
St. Roderick of Córdoba (executed 857 AD), also known as Rudericus, was a Christian priest and one of the Martyrs of Córdoba during the period of Al-Andalus, Muslim rule in Spain. He was betrayed by his own brother, who was a Muslim. After being falsely accused of apostasy and refusing to renounce his Christian faith, Roderick was arrested, tortured, and eventually executed by beheading and then later sainted for his martyrdom. This video is about his martyrdom in a greater context.
