Toy Story 5 Out of Theater Reaction: From the Biggest Toy Story Fan
Toy Story 5 out-of-the-theater reaction — I just saw Pixar’s newest Toy Story movie, and this reaction is coming from the biggest Toy Story fan you have ever met. Full Review coming tuesday! In this non-spoiler first reaction, I’m sharing my immediate thoughts walking out of Toy Story 5, the newest film from Disney and Pixar. This is not just another movie for me. This is Toy Story. This is Woody. Buzz. Jessie. Andy. Bonnie. Childhood. Growing up. Letting go. Finding purpose. Moving forward. This franchise has been with me for my entire life, so walking into Toy Story 5 was emotional before the movie even started. Pixar describes Toy Story 5 as a story where “Toy meets Tech,” with Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang facing a new challenge as kids become more obsessed with electronics. The film is directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris, and produced by Lindsey Collins. That premise is such a fascinating next step for this franchise because Toy Story has always been about change. Every movie has found a different way to talk about growing up, being loved, being left behind, and learning what your purpose is when life moves into a new chapter. So bringing technology into the Toy Story world feels like a modern evolution of the question this franchise has always asked: what happens to toys when childhood changes? As someone who truly believes Toy Story is one of the greatest franchises ever made, I went into this with excitement, nerves, fear, hope, and a lifetime of love for these characters. After the perfect emotional ending of Toy Story 3 and the misunderstood but beautiful purpose-driven ending of Toy Story 4, the biggest question was simple: did we need Toy Story 5? In this out-of-theater reaction, I’m talking about whether Toy Story 5 justifies its existence, how it feels seeing Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang again, whether Pixar brings back the emotion, how the “Toy meets Tech” idea works, and what this movie means for someone who has grown up with these characters every step of the way. This is not a spoiler review. This is my raw, immediate, emotional reaction walking out of the theater as someone who has lived with this franchise, loved this franchise, defended this franchise, and carried these movies through every chapter of life. In this video, I discuss: My immediate reaction to Toy Story 5 What it felt like seeing this as the biggest Toy Story fan you know Whether Toy Story 5 was worth making Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang returning The “Toy meets Tech” premise How this movie fits after Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4 Whether Pixar brings back the emotion How the movie handles childhood changing Why this franchise means so much to me My non-spoiler thoughts walking out of the theater If you enjoyed this reaction, make sure to like the video, subscribe, and comment your thoughts on Toy Story 5. #toystory #toystory5 #Pixar Timecards Intro - 0:00 Wifes Expectations - 2:10 Our Reaction - 3:15 Find Me!
