Symptoms of declining mental health: Among the warning signs, he mentions burnout, exhaustion from service, feeling "drained," sleeping without rest, and perceiving each day as an increasing burden. Harmful Compensations: It warns that the pursuit of immediate gratification (such as alcohol, drugs, pornography, or other forms of escapism) often reflects a deeper inner imbalance. Emotional Dysregulation: Outbursts of anger, persistent sadness without apparent cause, melancholy, and repetitive fantasies about "life that could have been" can indicate significant mental health problems. Importance of Seeking Professional Help: It acknowledges that some cases go beyond spiritual guidance and require specialized psychological or psychiatric care, especially when self-destructive thoughts or intense suffering are present. Definition of Spiritual Health: It presents it as a state of inner harmony, lived in the grace of God, continually oriented toward goodness, truth, and a full relationship with God, with others, and with oneself.
